AC Shadows Introduces Unexpected AoT Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre crossover event that challenges traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Uncovered
According to the formal release, "A mysterious confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where whispers of prohibited rituals and fearsome transformations echo through the obscurity." The storyline introduces a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine sect.
The adventure concentrates on "bizarre tests and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Changes
The preview showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Additional Content
Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an unique katana in addition to multiple objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
- Titan-based costume for Yasuke
- Mikasa outfit for Naoe
- Exclusive implements
- Survey Corps vehicle
Third Free Story Addition
This release also adds the game's third no-cost story episode, titled "The Mystery."
