"I warn my defender 'I'm not hanging back' and that I'm just going to continue running.

"That running is what I'm seeking. It's good fun."

Along with Cisse's six scores on his first game, Ireland has netted 8 in 3 appearances for Wythenshawe, while Boyd scored five on his debut match and Joleon Lescott, a defender by position, scored a hat-trick in one game as a striker.

Wythenshawe are leading of the Premier Division with three victories from three and a GD of plus nineteen.

One opponent, thirty-eight, who features on the flank for the opposition, came up against ex- Latics full-back Figueroa on the weekend - and had to explain his young son who Heskey was.

"Our group literally haven't stopped talking about it - I was calling my mother and sibling on the journey home.
