It's difficult for Australia to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have long been mastered.

This is the unit that has won seven Cricket World Cups, plus six more T20 titles, and earlier maintained 1,294 days undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, those for the record chasers, are what's still available for a team that has accomplished all there is.

The fact it required until Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase exceeding 300, regaining their record for the highest in the women's 50-over format, is, frankly, a compliment to the bowlers that have worn canary yellow over the past 50 years.

It is hard for their batters to hold a record if never given the possibility.

Finally, the result of Australia allowing 330 runs was skipper Alyssa Healy getting a chance to create her most recent brilliance.

What's clear is this century was considerably tougher to see coming.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 occurred when she topped the run-scoring charts, but this performance came after six matches in India since the start of last month in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"If you've been watching me in the nets, it has been a disappointing period because I feel like my form was missing at all," said Healy.

"But once you step out on the field, your fighting spirit take over and you just lock into the competition."

Healy's competitiveness has always been her great strength - and a priceless quality in taking over from famous previous leader Meg Lanning.

She was tormented by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, fallen to the 22-year-old seamer in all three matches, but on this occasion it simply offered Healy's inspiration.

A single came off the bowler's initial ball and from there the batsman was on her way.

"The possibility to play and face the challenge with her and merely enjoy the moment in that aspect, somewhat inspired me," commented Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 pitches - her swiftest at the World Cup - and her century in 84 as she punished short deliveries, striking 21 boundaries and three sixes.

Once she was dismissed the team required another 66 at one run per ball - a manageable total now needing a comfortable finish.

"Chasing 330 runs is unfamiliar ground so I am glad we have the belief to achieve that now," continued Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to repeat it but, if we do, we know we can succeed."

These statements will be the final thing competing nations at this championship want to hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will win from any position has only strengthened - this success coming after success over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite sitting at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a match against traditional opponents England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final place may likely be confirmed.

It was in the semi-finals they were eliminated from the prior year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - a match Healy was absent due to torn tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the inaugural occasion at an important competition.
