“No nostalgia for the changing area as a dressing room, however, dining out alongside the squad talking freely, that’s nice. We won a lot of games meaning regularly a very good mood in the building. I still have Virgil [Van Dijk’s] laugh in my ear for example.”
Commending Arne Slot
He spoke highly for his successor, acknowledging his role for the adjustments which secured the championship in the previous season. They've been defeated four in a row across various tournaments post heavy investment, but he rubbished the idea it could be a decline.
“[Liverpool have] an incredible striker in Flo[rian] Wirtz, doubters will be silenced if spoken against. He’s an incredible talent. Ekitike, incredible player. It’s a really good well-judged squad. Fans shouldn't fret about Liverpool, they will be fine.”
Heartfelt Words for the Late Forward

Putting it into words is tough on this topic. It was an incredible shock for his teammates also. Nobody at Liverpool might employ it as an excuse but it is the situation. Being in that space where he was omnipresent. Handling this emotionally is difficult. Overwhelming.”
